Track 2 "In Search of..." N*E*R*D

So I got a second interview with Apple and started my internship at the ACLU yesterday. Tomorrow is my first official day, when I get to watch a 1 hour video and try and work out my schedule. Yesterday I helped prepare for a committe hearing for HB 2062 which is to restore ex-felon's rights' to vote after completing all portions of their sentence excluding legal financial obligations. Funny, but right after that was the elections reform bill, which I have much more invested interest in, but didn't stay to hear. Can I please say, that adding another round of voter registrationg in between the primary and general election is ri-cock-ulous?! Having dealt with registration paperwork, I see no better way to roadblock people's right to vote in the general election and wider the margin of error that occurs between a voter's attempt to register and actually having their vote count.
OK, I'm not an expert. but all I hear is "Blah blah blah more paper work, more ways to scapegoat elections workers, larger margin of error, hinders the voting process blah blah"
*steps off the small soapbox*
what a fucking crock. I ain't saying the voting process is perfect, but please, red leaders, think before you act.
*takes the other foot off the soapbox*
*puts it back on*
okay, so shouldn't the parties be more concerned about rallying more votes in their direction????

I can't seem to focus, there was something really interesting I wanted to say that wasn't political too. I forget.
oh, so I went on an interview that my consultant helped me on. It was for a trucking company. With all respects to the trucking industry, I don't think I want my career to go there. I would be a good temporary employee, but I'd constantly be trying to escape and find my way into a law firm or into non-profits or school.
It sucks to be picky about jobs, but I don't want another 3 month gig on my resume. Unless it's Apple.

oh yeah, applied at NWRPCA today
