Wrap it up!
I am writing from the Las Vegas airport after a short buwisit with my parents. They are leaving tomorrow for a short buwisit to Washington. Business mostly.
So apparently nothing good has happened since Queen Elizabeth visited. Well, I didn't follow the story, so maybe there was a fiasco I didn't know about.
A few cool things, I've been busy with work. everything is going pretty good and I've even had a few run-ins with local celebrities. Mainly Lt. Watada who is as good looking as he is in the pictures and also has a pretty nice girlfriend. Sorry, B. The first time I met him , I bored him with a completely mundane story about how he met someone else and I was there. The second time I saw him, he apparently remembered meeting me (damn!) and then I made him feel insecure about a totally negligent error he made in one of his speeches; something equivalent to, "So yesterday, this thing happened at Starbucks," when maybe the thing had actually happened at Tully's. I was like, "ha? What happened at Starbucks?" and he said, "Nothing happened at Starbucks, I was at Tully's...why would I say Starbucks?...WHY WOULD I SAY STARBUCKS????"
Okay, so that's just the example. I'm not going to say what the actual error was because it really doesn't matter.
hmmph. Sometimes I think I need to brush up on my social skills. Every once in awhile (not that infrequently though) the little braces-faced permed freak-ass nerdy girl with glasses 3/4 the size of my face comes out and snorts randomly at an inappropriate time during a conversation. I'll post a picture of her later.
