What did he say??
Having a flair for the dramatic, I was a little disappointed when I went to mass yesterday and the priest, instead of saying, Remember that you are dust and to dust you shall return, said, Turn away from sin and be faithful to the gospel.
I went to St. Joseph's on Capitol Hill with VAJ this year and started off the night with a donut and then an uncontrollable giggling fit. (Oh - and before that, I ate $10 of sushi, which was enough to fill my belly. In fact I sat in this very spot. She handed me my 4 piece plate of nigiri with an extra saba roll and when I tried to thank her she said, "Don't worry about it! Scrap roll!" - yeah right!)
Mass went okay. The priest was a little hokey and kept saying, "go into your room and pray every night," to which I was like, okay, give me a harder challenge (oops, not humble). I was really hoping that he would say something to make me inspired to help people and to make my lenten sacrifice more meaningful, but he didn't, so I guess it'll have to come from within *scoff*. BTW, I am giving up some forms of chatting - and trying to stick to no meat on Fridays, so don't try and chat with me during the day and most certainly make sure to send me steaks on Sat-Thurs only please.
On the plus side about mass, the priest said at least 2 gay friendly things and prayed for forgiveness for our eagerness for war.
After mass, VAJ and I indulged in some delicious gourmet Mexican food (chocolate cake and flautas con guacamole, actually) and went for a walk down Broadway. It was a good one.

What forms of chatting are you giving up?
it's a secret :) I can still chat at certain times of the day.
